Evolutionary Dynamics of Gig Economy Labor Strategies under Technology, Policy and Market Influence

چکیده
The emergence of the modern gig economy introduces a new set employment considerations for firms and laborers that include various trade-offs. With game-theoretical approach, we examine influences technology, policy markets on firm worker preferences labor. Theoretically, present conceptual extensions to replicator equation model oscillating dynamics in two-player asymmetric bi-matrix games with time-evolving environments, introducing concepts attractor arc, trapping zone escape. While canonical applications evolutionary game theory focus stable strategy, our assumes system exhibits oscillatory can persist long temporal intervals pseudo-stable state. We demonstrate how changing market conditions result distinct patterns across labor economies. Informing tensions regarding future this category, novel payoff framework analyze role technology growth economy. Regarding governance, explore regulatory implications within economy, demonstrating lenient strict alter sensitivities between employee strategies. Finally, establish an aggregate economic explain environments engage interlocking dance, balancing act, sustain observable co-existence

Evolutionary dynamics of the market equilibrium with division of labor
Recently, a growing literature, known as the new classical economics, attempts to resurrect the classical economic thoughts on division of labor within an analytical framework inherited from neoclassical economics. The paper inspects the feasibility of this approach and finds that the current analytical framework of the new classical economics is not able to spell out how individuals’ decisions...
متن کاملTechnology shocks and labor market dynamics: Some evidence and theory
A positive technology shock may lead to a rise or a fall in per capita hours, depending on how hours enter the empirical VAR model. We provide evidence that, independent of how hours enter the VAR, a positive technology shock leads to a weak response in nominal wage inflation, a modest decline in price inflation, and a modest rise in the real wage in the short-run and a permanent rise in the lo...
متن کاملSurvival of Dominated Strategies under Evolutionary Dynamics∗
We prove that any deterministic evolutionary dynamic satisfying four mild requirements does not eliminate strictly dominated strategies in some games. We also show that existing elimination results for evolutionary dynamics are not robust to small changes in the specifications of the dynamics. Numerical analysis reveals that dominated strategies can persist at nontrivial frequencies even when t...
متن کاملMonetary Policy, the Labor Market and Pegged Exchange Rates: A Study of the German Economy
The European Community operated from 1979 to 1999, before the Euro was introduced, under a pegged exchange rate regime, the European Monetary System (EMS). This was also the time period when the European unemployment rate was secularly rising. Germany was the dominant country in Europe and other countries had, to a great extent, to follow Germany’s monetary policy. Kenen (2002) calls this the l...
متن کاملLabor Market Slack and Monetary Policy ∗
In the wake of a severe recession and a sluggish recovery, labor market slack cannot be gauged solely in terms of the conventional measure of the unemployment rate (that is, the number of individuals who are not working at all and actively searching for a job). Rather, assessments of the employment gap should reflect the incidence of underemployment (that is, people working part-time who want a...
